Devastation and Casualties: Haiti´s Earthquake

We, Action for Poverty, would like to send our deepest condolence and support to all the victims and the families in what is the worst earthquake Haiti has seen in over 200 years. We have sent two mobile health care units, immediate aid carrying food, medical supplies, temporary shelter, water and support for the victims, but beyond that we want to extend our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this catastrophe.

This terrible incident has affected thousands of victims. The greatest chaos happened in Port au Prince, where the earthquake was most prevalent. The representatives of Haiti have noted that the number of people that have died along with the number of casualties will be an extremely high one. Many victims have been found while many are still covered under the ruins of their homes or simply missing. The streets are covered in dust and many of the people of the Haitian communities were left in the streets without a home. We Action for Poverty hope to be able to help as much as we can with the situation and ease the pain of these unfortunate victims.
