Thousands feared dead in Haiti earthquake
A massive earthquake has struck the island of Haiti on Tuesday 12th January 2010 at 4:57pm local time the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.0 on the Richter scale and has devastated the capital Port-au-Prince. Major buildings including hospitals schools and government buildings have collapsed. Estimated death toll could reach 250,000 as many people are still buried under the rubble of collapsed buildings.
